Basic Data Setup

Basic Data for B2B Contracting

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

Party List

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

Enter Requisitioner

Required Data

Create Work Order

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercises below.

  1. Open the Prepare Work Order window and create a work order.
  2. Click the CO Information tab and add yourself as the coordinator for the work order.

Create Document

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercises below.

  1. Open the Document Titles page and create a new document

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to create a requisition line and invite contractors to tender for the work order, to submit a tender for the work order, to approve a contractor for the work order and to confirm a work order tender.

Invite to Tender

  1. Open the Prepare Work Order window and query for the work order that you created. (F3)
  2. Click Attachments. The Attachments panel is displayed.
  3. Click Attach.
  4. Search for the document you created.
  5. Select the document and click OK.
  6. Right-click on the document and click Overview - Document Revisions. The Document Revisions window is opened.
  7. Select the document, right-click, point to Status and then click Approve.
  8. Select the document, right-click, point to Status and then click Release.
  9. Click the Requisitions tab and create a new record. (F5)
  10. Select the Create Request for Quotation check box.
  11. In the Latest Reply Date field, enter the date one month from now.
  12. In the Approved Contractor List field, select a party list that you created.
  13. Save the record. (F12)
  14. Click the Part Requisitions Lines tab and create a new record (F5).
  15. Enter the part number of the inventory part in the Part No field.
  16. Enter 2 in the Original Quantity field.
  17. Save the record. (F12)
  18. Right-click on the Requisitions tab and click Release.

Note: You can also try entering a line on the No Part Requisitions Lines tab instead of the Part Requisitions Lines tab.

Submit Tender

  1. Log on to the B2B client as a B2B contractor who has access to the work order.
  2. Click the WO No link on the Reply on Work Order Tenders portlet. The Work Order Tender page is opened.
  3. Click the WO Documents link. The Connected Documents page is opened.
  4. View the released documents connected to the work order.
  5. Click the Quotation Documents link on the header of the page. The Connected Documents page is opened.
  6. Click Add Documents.
  7. Browse for the document file(s) that you created to connect to the order quotation and click Finish.
  8. Click the WO No link on the Reply on Work Order Tenders portlet. The Work Order Tender page is opened.
  9. Enter 100 in the Price/Curr field for the part and save the record. This sets the quotation to Answered status.

Approve Contractor

  1. Open the Order Quotation Lines window and query for the Work Order demand code and the number of the work order as order ref 1 or open the Order Quotation Approval window and query for the request number of the order quotation submitted above.
  2. Select the quotation line, right-click and then click Approve.

Confirm Tender

  1. Click the Customize Settings icon on the Confirm Work Order Tender portlet and select My Work Order Tenders to be confirmed and click OK.
  2. To confirm a purchase order line, click Confirm.
