Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to enter a record for a requisitioner. A requisitioner is defined as a person responsible for initiating purchase requisitions.

IFS Racing has employed a new person in your group. The person should be able to enter purchase requisitions. Therefore, you should enter the person as a requisitioner in IFS Applications.

The requisitioner for your user already exists in the database. To able to enter a requisitioner, you need to select another user from the cross-reference table (click the link). Example: If your alias is racing driver ALAIN, you should enter a new record for JOAL.

Entering a Requisitioner

1. Create a new record (F5).
2. Select the user ID in the Requisitioner ID column from the List of Values or enter the ID. The requisitioner name and the phone number (if entered in the person record) will automatically be filled in.
3. Optionally, you can include a department description in the Department column.
4. Optionally, select the Blocked for Use check box to block the requisitioner from further use.
5. Save your changes (F12).
