Required Data

Basic Data for Work Processing

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

  1. Create a priority, discovery, symptom, class, fault type, performed action, cause, supplier and maintenance organization to be used in the exercise below.
  2. Enter the employee connected to the user as an employee of the maintenance organization that you created.

  1. Open the Document Basic window and create a document class.

  1. Open the Document Basic window and create a document format.

Party List

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

  1. Create a party list with the Contractor party type in which the supplier is a member.

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to create the basic data require to perform the B2B Contracting functionality.

B2B Basic Data

Define B2B Login User

  1. Log on as an Admin user.
  2. Open the Explore Users window.
  3. Double-click on your user.
  4. Click User Properties. The User Properties dialog box is opened.
  5. Create a new record.
  6. Enter CONTRACTOR_ID in the Name field and the name of the supplier to which the user belongs in the Value field.

Define Priorities

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Priorities tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the Weight field for the priority that you created.
  5. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field.
  6. Save the record (F12).

Define Discoveries

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Discoveries tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the discovery code that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Symptoms

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Symptoms tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the symptom that you created
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Classes

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Classes tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the class that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Fault Types

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Fault Types tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the fault type that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Performed Actions

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Performed Actions tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the performed action that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Causes

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Causes tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the cause that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Maintenance Organizations

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Maintenance Organizations tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the maintenance organization that you created.
  5. Save the record (F12).

Define Document Classes and Formats

  1. Open the B2B Basic Data window.
  2. Click the B2B Doc Classes and Formats tab.
  3. Populate the page.
  4. Enter 1 in the B2B LOV Order field for the document class that you created.
  5. Enter the format you created in the Default Format Value field.
  6. Save the record (F12).
