Usage

Use this step of the Structure Changes assistant to define the type of structure change you want for the serial on the selected operation.

The Perform Change on the Structure of Serial area will display serial data from the window or tab this assistant was initiated from. In the Select Action to Perform area, select the structure change you want to carry out on the serial. When you click Next, depending on the option you have selected, one of  the following steps of the Structure Changes assistant will open:

• Replace Serial
• Remove Component
• Install Serial
• Install Part
• Rob Component
• Swap Components

If the serial part to be removed does not exist in the structure or if the serial to be installed exists in another structure, a structure mismatch log will be created. You can view the created log records in the Serial Structure Mismatch Log window found in IFS/Vehicle Information Management (IFS/VIM).
