Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to specify the business objects for export to integration package.

Windows:
Manage Job.

Define Business Object Filters on Export Job

  1. Select an export job.
  2. From the Manage Job window on the business object tree, select the Configuration check box, right-click and click Expand All Nodes.
  3. Select the Standard check box and use the List of Values to select a value for the standard.
  4. Select the Class check box and in the Class configuration window check the check boxes accordingly to influence the class value.
  5. There are three different ways to export the business objects in the Characteristics Basic Data group:
  1. Select the Characteristics Basic Data check box, to export only the attributes used in the current standard.

or

  1. Select the Attribute and Template check boxes to export the attributes used in the exported templates. Also select the Export only attributes used in exported templates option in the Attribute window.

or

  1. Select the Attribute check box and also select the Export attributes according to filter option to export attributes according to the values entered in the Attribute and Description fields in the Attribute window.
  1. Select the Document Class check box to export document class values selected via the List of Values for the Class field.
  2. From the business object tree, select the Part check box, right-click and click Expand All Nodes
  3. Select the Design Part checkbox and enter any filtering criteria in the check boxes in the configuration page to the right.
  4. From the business object tree, select the Assets check box, right-click and click Expand All Nodes.
  5. Select the Plant check box and use the List of Values to select a value for the plant.
  6. There are two different ways to export the business objects in the Design Object group:
  1. Click on the Object Filter tab. Enter or select any filtering criteria in the fields on this page to influence export.

or

  1. Click on the Tree Export tab. Enter or select any filtering criteria in the fields on this page to influence export.
  1. From the business object tree, select the Document check box, right-click and click Expand All Nodes.
  2. Select the Document Issue check box and in the configuration page to the right enter any filtering criteria to influence export.
  3. Save.
