This is a brief description of all available portlets in IFS Web Client framework. This page contains information only of portlets provided by the IFS Web Client framework. Information of portlets implemented by other IFS modules is not included in this page. Information of each IFS Web Client portlet can be obtained by clicking the help button at the tool bar of each portlet.
This portlet can be used to format and display contents of any RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) feed in your portal. RSS feeds providing information such as news, weather, blogs etc. are widely available in the World Wide Web. more info
This portlet implements a bulletin. It allows you to read/write (post) messages to a specific topic. Topics can be created for conversation and users who have write access can post messages/comments on that topic. Some users will have read permission only, for a particular message. more info
Use this portlet to change or set the value of global portal variables. Global portal variables are the ones that control behavior of portlets (for example setting an identifier of the customer whose data we will display). Their values can be either explicitly specified in portal's query string, or written to/read from the portal profile. The "Define Globals" portlet will not write anything to the profile but change portal's query string instead, so if you open the portal a second time, the old values are used. more info
Use this portlet to go to the Tree Navigator page as well as to go to portal configuration page.
Use this very useful portlet to create a list of IFS Applications pages that you frequently want to work with. If you select "Save Link" from the "Options" menu while working with pages, then a link to that page is added to the Repository of links. My Links portlet can be configured to show the required links from this repository. New links which are not available in link repository can also be added to the portlet through "Modify Link Repository" page. This portlet is very useful if you work with a lot of different pages. Then two (or more) My Links portlets can be added with different links shown in each. For example having one for daily routines and one for Weekly/monthly routines etc. more info
Use this portlet to enter small memory notes, such as phone numbers, people to meet, etc. All it needs is to type the required text in the body of the portlet. The Notes Portlet will save itself while you type.
Use this portlet to view contents of your Microsoft Outlook folders. This portlet
connects to your local outlook instance to the account of the currently logged on
Windows user. Therefore it will work only on MS Windows workstations (The client
machine needs to have Microsoft Outlook 2000 or higher installed).
You can configure this portlet to display different folders in Microsoft Outlook
thus enabling you to view contents (e-mails etc) in them.

The web page in the portlet will be loaded while the portal page is loading. With the zoom button available at the tool bar of the portlet you can open this web page in a new window. more info
