Prepare Route PM Action

  1. Open the PM Actions for Route List window.
  2. Search for your route ID (XXE90).
  3. Select all the rows that you entered, right-click, and then click Prepare.
  4. In the Route PM Action window, you can prepare the PM action further.

Note: Sometimes you are aware of which operation and material are required for a work. In this case, you can use the route standard job as a template for a certain type of job to be performed on various parts of the facility.

  1. Click the Jobs tab and create a new record.
  2. Select an appropriate standard job identity using the List of Values (F8).
  3. Save the new information (F12).

Note: The material requirements for the standard job will then be copied to this route PM action. You can find the material rows on the Materials tab. The budget calculations appear on the Budget tab. The route standard job can be connected only to a route PM action.

  1. If no standard job is to be used, you will need to enter material manually to perform this route PM action.
  2. Click to the Materials tab, and create a new record (F5).
  3. Select an inventory part and the planned quantity using the List of Values.
  4. Save the new record.
  5. On the Budget tab, you can always enter and view information on costs and revenues for the route PM action.
  6. You can also enter permits so that the maintenance work in the facility can be performed under safe conditions. Click the Permits tab, and enter a new row.
  7. Save the new information (F12).
  8. If you need to prepare the other PM actions in this route, select another PM number at the top of the window and prepare the PM actions with standard jobs, materials, budget, permits, etc.

Note: To start the work, you must first set conditions for the generation. The generation can be of three different kinds: calendar-based, event-based, and/or condition-based (see PM Generation Criteria— Key Exercise). After the generation, you can right-click and then click Report In Route Work Order in the Active Routes window to report in the work that was done on the work order.
