Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to create two company structures and a matrix organization structure.

This is the first lesson in the series that will lead to the creation of a simple, but functional organization setup. Complete all lessons in the right order, as every following lesson uses data defined in previous lessons. The complete setup will consist of two companies sharing a single task group in form of a matrix organization.
To avoid data duplication, lessons use company names:

You should select your own 2 companies and follow the rest of the steps as if they were Company 1 and 2.

If you choose to work on already existing companies, ignore other elements of organization structure and focus on defining your own elements.

Remember to use activity diagrams. There, you can read step-by-step instructions on what to do. When necessary, you will be given a link to relevant activity descriptions. It is also a good idea to have the Define Organization Structures process model open at all times.
