Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to report
maintenance work on a linear asset.
Windows:
Service and
Maintenance/Work Order Management/Fault Report/Service Request/Create Fault
Report Assistant
- Open the Create Fault Report Assistant.
- Choose the option Linear Asset, press Next.
- Use the List of Values in the field Linear Asset ID and select M6EB.
- In the Fault Location field enter the text "Wildlife fence needs
repairing".
- As Start Reference Information enter 0 in the Element ID
field and set Offset X to 10.
- As End Reference Information enter 5000 in the Element ID
field and set Offset X to 10.
- In the Detailed Fault Location information fields enter 2 in the
Distance field and use the List of Values in the Segment ID
field to select M6EB-L1.
- Click Next.
- Use the List of Values in the field Maint Org to select a value
that is available for you and the company your user is connected to.
- In the field Directive, enter the text "Fix wildlife fence".
- In the field Fault Desc enter the text "There is a rip in the
wildlife fence."
- Click Finish.
- A dialog box with the question "Work Order XX has been created. Do you
want to view the work order?" Press Yes to view the work order
directly in the
Prepare Work Order
window.
