Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to create a linear asset and add pre-posting.

Create Linear Asset

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create a linear asset.

Windows:

Linear Assets

1. Open the Linear Asset or Linear Assets window.
2. Click New(+).
3. The system automatically filled in values for these fields:
   • Site
   • UoM Length
   • UoM Offset
4. In the Linear Asset ID field, enter M6EB.
5. In the Description field, enter M6 East Bound.
6. In the Length field, enter 6,5.
7. Click Save.

Add Pre-Posting

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to add pre-posting on a linear asset.

1. Open the Linear Asset or Linear Assets window.
2. Search for the Linear Asset ID M6EB
3. In the header, right click and choose Pre Posting
4. In the Cost Cent field, enter 300 (manually or by clicking on the List button and chose from the List of Value).
5. Click Save.
