Failure Analysis Setup Navigator

[About Structured Failure Management] [To Define Maintenance Basics]

Usage

Use this window to view, define and configure failure related basic data in IFS Maintenance. This window consists of three panes. The top pane displays details of the root item class. The left pane provides a structured graphical view to navigate through different levels of failure related data. The right pane displays the detailed view of the corresponding node selected on the navigator on the left. The structure consists of item classes, failing components, causes, symptoms, corrective actions, functions and fault types. These attributes can be propagated from the parent item class to the child item classes.

When an item class is selected, the right pane will display information about the corresponding item class in detail. When a function node is selected, the right pane will display information about the corresponding function in detail and if a function group node is selected, the right pane will be populated with all the functions under the group node. When a fault type node is selected, the right pane will display information about the corresponding fault type in detail and if a fault type group node is selected, the right pane will be populated with all the fault types under the group node. When a cause node is selected, the right pane will display information about the corresponding cause in detail and if a cause group node is selected, the right pane will be populated with all the causes under the group node.
