System Definitions
Scheduling Dataset
- Open the Scheduling Broadcast window.
- Verify that the correct company is in use. If not, right-click and click
Change Company to change the company.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Enter a unique identity and description for the broadcast in the
Broadcast ID and Description fields.
- In the Minimum Plan Quality (%) field, enter the plan quality as
a percentage. If this is an iSWB broadcast, enter 0 in the field.
- In the Broadcast Type field, select the broadcast type. Note:
For iSWB broadcasts, this field should be set to Webservice.
- In the Plan Type field, select the type of plan that is to be
generated for the broadcast.
- In the Maximum Wait Minutes field, enter the maximum time in
minutes to wait before a plan to be returned. If this is an iSWB broadcast,
enter 0 or leave the field blank.
- In the Maximum Frequency Minutes field, enter the frequency in
minutes for the plan to be generated. If this is an iSWB broadcast, enter 0
or leave the field blank.
- In the Parameter Value field, enter the name and value for all
required parameters.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the Scheduling Broadcast window.
- Query (F3) for your broadcast.
- Select the Active check box.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the System Definitions window and
click the Object Property tab.
- Query (F3) for the ACTWO_DEFAULT_STATE property name.
- In the Property Value field, select the relevant work order
status. This will be the lowest status from which work orders in all
datasets will be transferred for scheduling.
- Save the information (F12).
Note: The status for transferring work orders can be defined per
dataset as well and is described in the following exercise.
- Open the Scheduling Dataset window.
- Verify that the correct company is in use. If not, right-click and click
Change Company to change the company.
- Create a new record (F5).
- Enter a unique identity and description for the dataset in the
Dataset ID and Description fields.
- In the Duration Days field, enter the number of days for the
scheduling horizon of the dataset.
- In the Process Type field, specify whether this should be a
static or dynamic dataset.
- Click the WO Defaults tab.
- In the Default Activity Type field, use the List of Values to
select an activity type for the work orders in the dataset.
- In the Maximum Base Value per Hour field, enter the maximum base
value in hours for the work orders in the dataset.
- In the Appointment Scheduling Type field, use the List of Values
to select the scheduling type that is to be used for the appointment work
orders in the dataset.
- Optionally, enter the default primary and secondary scheduling types for
the work orders in the dataset by using the List of Values in the Default
Primary Scheduling Type and Default Secondary Scheduling Type fields
respectively.
- Optionally, update the lowest status from which work orders in the
dataset can be transferred for scheduling in the Schedule from WO Status
field.
- Save the information (F12).
To define the sites within the selected company which need to be scheduled:
- Click the Site tab and create a new record (F5).
- In the Site field, use the List of Values to select the site for
which scheduling data is to be transferred.
- Save the information (F12).
To define default values for the lunches and breaks in the dataset:
- Click the HR Defaults tab.
- In the Scheduling Type Lunch field, use the List of Values to
select the scheduling type for all lunches in the dataset.
- In the Lunch Base Value per Hour field, enter the base value per hour
for all lunches in the dataset.
- In the Scheduling Type Break field, use the List of Values to
select the scheduling type for all breaks in the dataset.
- In the Break Base Value per Hour field, enter the base value per hour
for all breaks in the dataset.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the Scheduling Dataset window.
- Click the Broadcasts tab and create a new record (F5).
- In the Allocation Type field, select the allocation type.
- In the Broadcast ID field, use the List of Values to select
broadcast that is to be connected to the allocation type.
- Select the Active check box if you want to activate the broadcast for the
allocation type.
- Save the information (F12).
- If a broadcast is connected to the SDS allocation type, click the
Reference tab and enter the parameter
of the
data path for the SDS rules XML file.
- Save the information (F12).
- Open the Scheduling Dataset window.
- Query (F3) for your dataset.
