Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to show you how to complete a training event and how to evaluate it and the participants. You will also practice how to update an employee's competency level after he or she has attended an event.

Note: When the course result is set to either Pass or Fail in the Evaluation on Participant tab, the Course Result field in the Employee Strategic Files/Training History tab is updated accordingly.
Note: When registering an external course, do not enter a
course ID.
By changing the participant status to Attended the
Training History tab will
automatically be updated.
Note: You can only update the employee’s competency level if the employee has attended and passed all mandatory courses for the specified competency element and level. There must also be an indication in the Course Specification/Competency Obtained tab that the course supports the competency level required according to the employee’s job specification, or at least that the course will help minimize the gap.
