Create Project Resource Forecast

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercises below.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to create a new snapshot for the resource forecast, disconnect the snapshot and connect an existing snapshot to a resource forecast.

Creating a New Snapshot

1. Open the Project Resource Forecast window and query for your resource forecast.
2. In the header, right click and select the Snapshot menu option and then click Create.
3. Enter Snapshot 1 in the Snapshot Description field.
4. Click OK.

Disconnecting Snapshot

1. Open the Project Resource Forecast window and query for your resource forecast.
2. In the header, right click and select the Snapshot menu option and then click Disconnect.
3. A dialog window asks if you really want to disconnect. Click YES.

Connecting to Existing Snapshot

1. Open the Project Resource Forecast window and query for your resource forecast.
2. In the header, right click and select the Snapshot menu option and then click Connect.
3. Use the List to select a value for the Number field. Click OK.
4. Click OK in the Connect Snapshot dialog box.
