Basic Data Setup
Resource Forecast Type
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic
data required for performing this particular functionality.
- Create the resource forecast type GEN.

- Create a project in company 10 and create activities in your subproject
structure.

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- For your company, select the Account check box for the MAT
and LABOR cost elements.

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- Open the Project
Cost/Revenue Element per Code Part Value window and enter the following
values.

Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to create a
resource
forecast and to enter version lines on the forecast.

Project Resource Forecast
Creating Resource Forecast
- Open the Project
Navigator
window and query for the project.
- Right-click on the project and select Create Resource Forecast.
- Select the value GEN from the List for the Forecast Type
field.
- Enter Version 1, in the Version Description field.
- Click Finish. A message box opens, inquiring whether you wish to view
the project forecast, click Yes.
- Review the information in the
Project Resource Forecast window.
Entering Resource Forecast Lines
- Open the Project Resource Forecast window
and query for the project resource forecast.
- Select the activity node in the project (left hand side of the window).
- Select a resource group in the Resource ID field and enter other
required resource criterion.
It's possible to use % as wildcard.
- Enter 10000 in the ETC Hours field.
- Save the record (F12).
