Required Data

Create Separate PM Action

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercises below.

  1. Create two separate PM actions for Maintenance Organization - Maint, and 8 weeks interval for calendar generation.
  2. Make sure that you use your own signature.

General exercise for Prepare Separate PM Action

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to create new PM actions from existing ones.

Windows:
Separate PM Action
Route PM Action

Copy PM Action

  1. Retrieve a PM action in the Separate PM Action (or Route PM Action) window.
  2. Right-click and then click Copy.
  3. Select all the copy options.
  4. In the Object ID field, enter the object that the PM action information will be copied to.
  5. For a route PM action, enter also the route ID, the new route PM action will be connected to.
  6. Click OK.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to make extensive changes to multiple PM actions simultaneously.

Windows:
PM Administrator Assistant

In this exercise, you will update all PM actions created by you, for Maintenance Organization - Maint and 8 weeks interval. Your task is to change the time interval for PM generation from 8 to 6 weeks.

Update PM Actions

  1. Open the PM Administrator Assistant dialog box.
  2. In the Current Settings window, in the Signature field, enter your signature. Click List.
  3. In the Maint. Org. field, enter Maint. Click List.
  4. In the Calendar Interval field, enter 8.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In the New Settings window, in the Calendar Interval field, enter 6.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Table of Amendments window, click Finish to confirm the changes.

Required Data

Create Separate PM Action

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercise below.

  1. Create three separate PM actions, PM1, PM2 and PM3 for calendar-based generations on one object with the following intervals: 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and 16 weeks. They all start during the same week.
  2. Make sure that you use your own signature.

General exercise for Prepare Separate PM Action

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to replace PM actions occurring during the same time interval.

Windows:
Separate PM Action
Route PM Action

In this exercise, you will replace three PM actions created on the same equipment object for calendar generation for 4, 8, and 16 weeks intervals, so that only one PM action will occur during the same week.

Replace PM Actions

  1. In the Separate PM Action window, retrieve the PM action created for 8 weeks' interval, PM2.
  2. Right-click and then click Replacements.
  3. Create a new row.
  4. In the Replaces PM No field, enter the PM action created for 4 weeks' interval, PM1. Use List of Values.
  5. Save the record.
  6. In the Separate PM Action window, retrieve the PM action created for 16 weeks' interval, PM3.
  7. Right-click and then click Replacements.
  8. Create a new row.
  9. In the Replaces PM No field, enter the PM action created for 8 weeks' interval, PM2. Use List of Values.
  10. Save the record.

Required Data

Create Route PM Action

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the required data that is used in the exercise below.

  1. Create a route list that contains five route PM actions with order number 1 through 5.

General exercise for Prepare Route PM Action

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you how to reorder route PM actions in a route list.

Windows:
Re-Number Route Pm Action

In this exercise, you will have to add two new route PM actions to a route list between actions 3 and 4, and then renumber them.

Renumber a Route List

  1. Open the Re-Number Route PM Action dialog box.
  2. In the Route ID field, enter your route list. Use List.
  3. In the Start from Order Number field, enter the number you want to start renumber from, e.g., 3.
  4. In the New Interval field, enter the new interval for route PM actions, e.g.,10.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the PM Actions for Route List window, retrieve the route list.
  7. Add two route PM actions between the previous actions 3 and 4, e.g., between 30 and 40.
  8. In the Order field, enter sequence numbers, e.g., 31 respective 32. 
  9. Open the Re-Number Route PM Action dialog box again.
  10. Perform the steps as above, i.e., 2 through 5. Start from order number 1 with interval 1.
