Define Production Rates and APQ Goals—BDR Exercises

Required Data

Define Production Unit

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create the required data that is used for the following exercises. 

Windows:
Setup OEE

  1. Create a production unit with the following ID: PU-XX (where XX are your initials).

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to show you how to enter the basic data required for production event reporting and analysis.

Define Production Rate Goals

  1. In the Setup OEE window enter the production unit defined above in the Show Goals for Production Unit field. Use the List of Values if required.
  2. Click the green arrow  to the right of the Show Goals for Production Unit field to open the Define Goals window.
  3. Click the Production Rate Goals tab.
  4. Select a product and expand the node to see the qualities connected to the product.
  5. Select a quality that is connected to a product and click Add to create new goals for this combination of product and quality.
  6. In the Valid From field enter the date from which the new production rates will be valid.
  7. In the Max Prod Rate field enter the maximum production rate for this combination of product and quality.
  8. In the Goal Prod Rate field enter the goal production rate for this combination of product and quality.
  9. Repeat steps 5-8 for each of the qualities that are available for a product.
  10. Save the information.

Define APQ Goals

  1. Click the APQ Goals tab found on the same window.
  2. Click Add Unit Goal to create new APQ goals for the production unit.
  3. In the Valid From field enter the date from which the new goals will be valid.
  4. Enter a goal in the respective fields for each of the following figures: A (Availability), P (Performance), Q (Quality) and APQ.
  5. Save the information.
