Closing a Flight Log—Exercises
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to learn how to
close a flight log. When all information pertaining to a flight log has been
entered, the log should be closed. When the flight log is closed, the entered
operational loggings are spread on the serial and the structure of the serial.
Prerequisites: Before starting on this exercise you must
have completed the
Report Flight Information on a Flight Log - Generated Operational Plan ID
exercise. For the closed flight logs to be moved to history, the
Operator Information per Owner Organization exercise must have been
completed.
Windows:
Flight Log
- Open the Flight Log window and query (F3) for the flight log
number 50, part number nX747-900 and serial number nX30000.
- Right-click,
point to Status, and then click Close. The Close Flight
Log dialog box opens.
- If tasks have been finished for serials in
the structure after the takeoff time for the first flight, operational
parameter values of these tasks may need to be adjusted. If this is the
case, the Auto Adjust Subsequent Completed Tasks check box will be
selected.
- Click OK to close the flight log. When the flight log is
closed, the operational loggings entered on each flight will be spread to
the actual operational log for the vehicle and its structure.
- The closed
flight log will remain in the Flight Log window until it is
moved to history by a background job.
