Basic Data Setup
Create Dock and Subdock Codes
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set
up the basic data required for running this particular feature.
Windows:
Procurement Basic Data
- Click the
Dock Codes tab.
- Enter the dock codes and the subdock codes.

Enter Supplier Kanban Circuit
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- Make sure a Kanban circuit exists on your site with the following

Circuits
Create Supplier Kanban Circuit Card(s)
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- Make sure the Kanban circuit has deployed Kanban cards.

Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to describe how
to setup some of the more advanced features of Kanban cards.
Windows:
Kanban Circuit
Enter Text for Kanban Cards
- Query for the part number RW200 in the Kanban circuit.
- Click the
Card Details tab, and enter the text in the Circuit Card Text field
to be shown on all the cards in the Kanban circuit.
- Click the
Cards tab, and enter the text in the Card Text
field to be
shown on a Kanban card.
- Select a card, right-click and then click Print Selected Kanban Card(s).
- Clear
the Deploy Card(s) option and click OK.
- Specify the printer options and print the Kanban card.
- Verify the printout results.
Add a Picture to a Kanban Circuit
- Query for the part number RW200 in the Kanban circuit.
- Click the
Card Details tab.
- Right-click in the Part Image area
and then click Browse.
- Select a picture file from a network location.
- Save the picture to a network location accessible by the printer, by right-clicking in
the Part Image area
and then clicking Save As.
- Go to the
Cards tab.
- Select a card, right-click and then click Print Selected Kanban Card(s).
- Clear
the Deploy Card(s) option, and click OK.
- Specify the printer options and print the Kanban card.
- Verify the printout results.
Enter Dock Code for a Supplier Kanban Circuit
- Query for the part number RW200 in the Kanban circuit.
- Click the
Card Details tab.
- Enter values for the dock code and the subdock code.
- Click the
Cards tab.
- Select a card, right-click and then click Print Selected Kanban Card(s).
- Clear
the Deploy Card(s) option, and click OK.
- Specify the printer options and print the Kanban card.
- Verify the printout results.
Print Barcodes on a Kanban Card
- Query for the part number RW200 in the Kanban circuit.
- Click the
Cards tab.
- Select a card, right-click and then click Print Selected Kanban Card(s).
- Clear
the Deploy Card(s) option, and click OK.
- Specify the printer options and print the Kanban card.
- Verify the printout results.
Note: If the barcode did not print properly, then
probably the barcode font needs to be set up in your system.
