Create Shop Order Requisitions through Master Scheduling

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create shop order requisitions from Master Scheduling.

  1. If you haven't calculated and planned master schedule level 1 for your site, calculate it now, ensuring that you set the Create S/P Req. field in the MS Level 1 Part window to Create S/P Req..

General Exercise for Performing Level 1 Master Scheduling

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to recognize shop order requisitions created from IFS/Master Scheduling.

Shop Order Requisitions

A manufactured part is planned by master scheduling level 1. The person responsible for planning the part had IFS/Master Scheduling create shop order requisitions. You need to identify the shop order requisitions that were created by master scheduling.

Viewing Shop Order Requisitions Created by Master Scheduling

  1. Open the Shop Order Requisitions window.
  2. Query, entering or clicking Master Schedule in the Type list.
  3. Shop order requisitions created by master scheduling will be displayed.

Note: If you see no records created by Master Scheduling, do not run master scheduling on site 1. Instead, perform the Basic Data Setup exercise (Create Shop Order Requisitions through Master Scheduling) and retry using your site.
