Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to manually add a task for a call center case and to use a task template for a case.

Manually add Tasks to a Case

  1. Query for the first case you created.

Note Before adding tasks, you should first right click on the Case window and click Accept Case.

  1. Click the Tasks tab and select a row and double click on it to create a new record.
  2. Enter the date a month from today in the Due Date field. Format: MM/DD/YYYY
  3. Enter Important, in the Comment field.
  4. Enter Gather Requirements, in the Activity field.
  5. Select 1st Line in the Type field.
  6. Save the record.

Attach Task Template to a Case

  1. Query for the second case you created.

Note Before adding tasks, you should first right click on the Case window and click Accept Case.

  1. Click the Tasks tab and select a row and right click and click Create Task from Template. The Select Task from Template dialog box is opened.
  2. Select the template you defined in the Task Template Name field.
  3. Click OK.
