Required Data
Create Task
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to a handle
task for a particular case.
Windows:
Case
Task
- Select the row with the task and right-click and
click Accept Task. The Accept Task dialog box is
opened.
- Enter Accepted, in the Contact Notes Message
field.
- Click OK.
- Open the
Case window and query for the
case you created and click on the
Task tab.
- Select the row with the task and right-click and
click Dispatch Task. The Dispatch Task dialog box is
opened.
- In the Organization field, use List to
select the organization you defined and in the Queue field use List
to select the queue you defined for that organization (a queue with yourself
as an assignee).
- Enter Dispatched, in the Contact Notes Message
field.
- Click OK.
- Select the row with the task, right-click and click Reject
Task. The Reject Task dialog box is opened.
- Enter Rejected, in the Contact Notes Message
field.
- Click OK.
- Select the row with the task and right-click and
click Complete Task. The Complete Task dialog box is
opened.
- Enter Completed, in the Contact Notes Message
field.
- Click OK.
- Select the row with the task and right-click and
click Reopen Task. The Reopen Task dialog box is
opened.
- Enter Reopened, in the Contact Notes Message
field.
- Click OK.
- Select the row with the task, right-click and click View
Task. The
Task window is opened.
- Enter 25 in the Plan. Hours field and 20 in
the Used Hours field.
- Enter This task is..., in the Comment field
in the
Task Comment tab.
- Save.
- Select the row with the task, right-click and click Close
Task or Cancel Task. A dialog box is opened.
- Enter Closed or Canceled, in the Contact Notes
Message field.
- Click OK.
- Select the row with the task, right-click and click
Time Reporting. The value Task is automatically selected in the
Item Type field.
- Enter 12 in the
Hours field.
- If IFS/Project is installed
in the database, select the project you created (P100) in the Project ID
field.
- Click OK.
