Basic Data Setup

Create Inventory Transaction Report Manually

  1. Open the Inventory Transaction Report window and click New (F5)
  2. Enter selection criteria to include the desired inventory transactions in your report. Its mandatory to enter a report type and a site, enter MY RECEIPT as report type and your own site. Blank out all other selection criteria.

Note: In addition you can enter a number of selection criteria to limit the number of inventory transaction possible to connect to your report. In this exercise the report type and site is enough.

  1. Save the record (F12)
  2. Open the Available Inventory Transactions tab
  3. Select the NREC transaction for the part XX78-461 and right-click and then click Connect Inventory Transaction
  4. Open the Connected Inventory Transaction tab, your NREC transaction is now connected to your inventory transaction report
  5. Print the report by right-clicking in the header of the report and then clicking Print Inventory Transaction Report.
  6. Open the Archived Report window, select your created report and print it.

Create Inventory Transaction Report Automatically

Note: One inventory transaction can only be connected to one report. Create another NREC transaction by receiving another 100 pcs of the part XX-78-461 or cancel the manually created inventory transaction report before continuing. To cancel a report you query for it in the Inventory Transaction Report window and then right-click and then click Cancel. The report is now cancelled and all connected transactions are free to connect to another report.

  1. Open the Create Inventory Transaction Report window
  2. Enter your site in the Site field. Its mandatory to enter a site
  3. Enter your report type MY RECEIPT in the Report type field
  4. Click OK

Note: The required number of reports to include all inventory transactions stated by the entered parameters and the basic data set up will be automatically created. In your case you should get one report with the NREC transaction for the 100 pcs of the part XX78-461 connected to it. Note that if you have created more NREC transactions these will also be connected to your report.

  1. Open the Inventory Transaction Report window
  2. Search for the report created. Click Query (F3) and search for reports on your site with Automatically Created checked.
  3. Print the report by right-clicking in the header of the report and then clicking Print Inventory Transaction Report.
  4. Open the Archived Report window, select your created report and print it.

Note: In the Create Inventory Transaction Report client you can also schedule a background job that automatically creates the desired reports in appropriate intervals.
