Introduction

The Racing database is a complete core version of IFS Applications for demo and training.

The Race Demo is a complete environment for internal use.

Using Race Demo for Training Sessions

Use a fresh Race Demo environment for new sessions.

Static Data

Static data is data that is not date-sensitive. This part of the database will provide the instructor with the vast majority of records needed to conduct a training class.

Site and Company Information

For training, Site 1 is the primary site and it is linked to Company 10, the primary company.

Site 2, also linked to Company 10, is provided for multi-site transactions.

Site 3, also linked to Company 10, is provided for the constraint-based scheduling course.

Companies 11, 15, and 16 are also used in training. Company 15 is a foreign-currency sister company to Company 10, and both are subsidiaries of Company 11. Company 16 is a stand-alone foreign-currency company.

Users

There are almost 200 users defined. Some are defined for specific purposes, such as a course or a business solution.

To see how users are defined, how they should be used, and what functions they can perform, you can view the User spreadsheet.

If you need to configure existing users, the document Adding Functionality to a User is provided to help you.
