Basic Data Setup

Evacuation Areas

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to set up the basic data required for running this particular functionality.

Windows:
Evacuation Areas

  1. Ensure that the following evacuation areas are defined.
    Company Evacuation Area Description
    10 Main The main entrance.
    Park The emergency exit available at the basement of building.
    Ground The emergency exit available at the ground level of building.

Define Company Locations

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to define the locations in your companies.

Windows:
Safety Inspection Basic Data

  1. Organize your companies in to the following locations.
    Company Location ID
    10 OFFICE
    10 WAREHOUSE
    20 OFFICE
    20 WAREHOUSE

General exercise for creating basic data safety inspections.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to show how you can register details of the company locations and the fire safety equipment in place.

Windows:

Register Details of Emergency Exits

  1. Open the Fire Safety/Emergency Exit tab and create a new record.
  2. Enter the building name and describe the location of the building in the relevant fields.
  3. Save the information.
  4. Now, create new records in the table and enter the names of emergency exits available in the building.
  5. Connect these emergency exists to the corresponding evacuation areas. Select predefined evacuation values using the list.

    The description of emergency exist you enter may be as given below;
    Building Name Building
    Location
    Exit Name Evacuation
    Area
    Main Building Main building in company. Main door Main
    Garage door Park
    Back door Ground
    Warehouse Main warehouse adjoining the main  building. Main Main
    Parking Park

Register Fire Extinguisher Details

  1. Open the Fire Safety/Fire Extinguisher tab and create a new record.
  2. Enter the company in the Company ID field.
  3. In the Location ID field, enter a company location. Select a value using the list. E.g. OFFICE.
  4. Describe the sub location in the Sub Location field.
  5. Enter the details of the fire extinguisher unit in the relevant fields.
  6. Save the information.
