site to maintain your data integrity. If you work within any other
site, you will compromise your own exercise data as well as the data of
other students. Predictable exercise results require that your data be
isolated in your own site. |

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to familiarize
you with the data that must be in place before you can do the the exercises
below.
- Create a project product structure.
- Save your changes.

Main Exercises
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you
how to create a
project quotation list (PQL) for the delivery project.

Project Product/Quotation List
- Open the
Project Product window and query for your
project XXPD–01.
- Click the
Part Definition tab.
- Note each part's part revision and item occurrences.
- Select the row containing part 20–122 (Camshaft 1600), right-click, and then click Add
to Project Quotation List. A message appears prompting you to indicate
whether you really want to add
the part to the project quotation list.
- Click Yes.
- Click the Quotation List tab.
- Verify that a record for part 20–122 has been added to this list.
- In the Order Quantity field, enter 1.
- In the Max
Quantity For Blanket field, enter 5.
- In the From Date for
Blanket field, enter today's date.
- Save your changes.
- Right-click and then click Add to Project Quotation
List. The Add Miscellaneous Procurement Parts to PQL wizard
appears.
- Click Next to go to the second wizard window.
- Select the Add
to PQL check box for part 20–123 (Valve 1600), and then click Next.
- In the Order Quantity field, enter 1.
- In the Max
Quantity For Blanket field, enter 5.
- In the From Date for
Blanket field, enter today's date.
- Click Finish. The wizard automatically closes and returns you to
the Quotation List tab.
- Verify that a record for this part
has also been added to the list.
- Delete this new record by selecting this part and clicking Remove from
the toolbar.
- Verify that the record for this part has been deleted from the list.
