Reporting Progress

During the development of the documentation in a package, you will reach different milestones. When a milestone is reached, you should report this progress in the package. The total package progress, which is calculated automatically, is a weighted value of the progress of each document. By reporting progress, the Project Manager can follow up on the documentation work in the IFS Project Module.

  1. Open the Document Package window from the Navigator.
  2. Perform a Query (F3) for Package = XX122 (where XX is your initials). The document package that you created earlier should be populated in the window.
  3. In the Document Milestone field of the first row in the table (the row with the Assembly Instruction), select 10 (the first milestone) from the List of Values and click OK.

Note: The progress can be reported (a milestone number can be selected) only if the document class, number, sheet and revision values are specified for each document connected to the document package.

  1. Save (F12).

Note: The progress in the document package header has increased.

  1. In the Document Milestone field of the second row (the row with the Addendum), select 20 (the second milestone) from the List of Values.
  2. Save (F12).

Note: The progress in the document package header is increased again.
