Report in Work Order—Exercises
Required Data
Create Work Order for Equipment Object
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- Create a functional object in the Functional
Object window.
- Enter a customer and contractor in the
Parties tab.
- Right-click and click Active Work Orders
and create two work orders (enter WO1 and WO2 in the Directive
fields) for the object.
- Invite to tender, submit tender, approve
contractor and confirm tender on the work orders.

Connect Work Order to Project
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to show you the
required data that is used in the exercises below.
- Create a project (P123), create a sub project (S1) activity (A1) and
task (T1) for the
project, create a work order (enter WO3 in the Directive field) for
the activity using the
Project Navigator window.
- Invite to tender, submit tender, approve
contractor and confirm tender on the work order.

Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to report the work
done on a work order tender. While starting the work order, reporting time on
the work order,

Report in Work Order
Start Work Order from Active Work Orders
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO1).
- Click the Report In link of the work order tender WO1 in the Active
Work Orders portlet. The Report in Work Order page is
opened.
- Click the Started link.
Start Work Order from Equipment
Object
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO2).
- Open the Equipment Object Navigator
page.
- Click on the relevant object in the left hand
pane.
- View details of object and the connected service
requests and active work orders as required.
- Click Active Work Orders. The Active
Work Orders page is opened.
- Click on the WO No link for WO2 to open the
Report in Work Order page.
- Click on the Started link.
Start Work Order from Project
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO3).
- Click on the Project ID link of the
relevant project on the Projects portlet. The Project
Navigator page is opened.
- View details about the project and click on an
activity on the left pane, click on the relevant links on the Activity
tab to view the active and historical work orders and route work
orders.
- Click Active Work Orders. The Active
Work Orders page is opened.
- Click on the WO No link for WO3 to open the
Report in Work Order page.
- Click on the Started link.
Report in Work Order from Active Work
Orders
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO1).
- Click the Report In link of the work order tender (WO1) in the Active
Work Orders portlet. The Report in Work Order page is
opened.
- Create a new record under Work Order Time Reporting.
- Enter your user ID in the Employee ID field and 3 in the Hours
field.
- Save the record.
Report in Work Order from
Equipment Object
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO2).
- Open the Equipment Object Navigator
page.
- Click on the relevant object connected to WO2 in the left hand
pane.
- View details of object and the connected service
requests and active work orders as required.
- Click Active Work Orders. The Active
Work Orders page is opened.
- Click on the WO No link for WO2 to open the
Report in Work Order page.
- Enter your own employee ID in the Employee ID
field and 8 in the Hours field.
- Save the record.
Report in Work Order from Project
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order (WO3).
- Click on the Project ID link of the relevant project (P123) on the
Projects portlet.
The Project Navigator page is opened.
- View details about the project and click on an activity
on the left
pane, click the Activity tab and click on the
Active WO link. The Active Work Orders page is opened.
- Click on the WO No for WO3. The Report In Work Order
page is opened.
- Enter your employee ID in the Employee ID field and 10 in the
Hours field
- Save the record.
Connect Document to Project Activity
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the
project that you created.
- Click on the Project ID link of the relevant project (P123) on the
Projects portlet.
The Project Navigator page is opened.Click on A1 on the left pane.
- Click on the Documents link on the Activity tab.
- Click on the Add Documents link. The Add Documents dialog box is opened.
- Click Add File to select a file to be
uploaded from your computer.
- Enter document class 100 and PROJECT DOCUMENT 1 as the title and click
OK.
Report Progress on Task
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the
project that you created.
- Click on the Project ID link of the relevant project (P123) on the
Projects portlet.
The Project Navigator page is opened.
- Click on A1 on the left pane and click
the Tasks tab on the right pane.
- Select the Completed check box for the task and save the
record.
Set to Work Done Status
- Log on to the B2B interface as a B2B contractor who has access to the work
order.
- Click on the Report In link in the Active Work Orders
portlet. The Report in Work Order page is opened.
- Click the Work Done link.
Authorize Transactions
- Open the Report in Work Order window.
- Query for the work order that you were working with.
- Click the
Postings tab and select the row that you created,
right-click and then click Authorize Selected Rows.

Enter your user ID as the signature of authorizer in the
Signature field. Use the List button in the dialog box to select
the signature.

Confirm the information.
Close Purchase Order
- Open the Purchase Order window.
- Query for the purchase order created through the work order. (F3)
- Release the purchase order by right-clicking the header and selecting
Release.
- The supplier informs you that they can deliver without any differences.
Confirm the purchase order by right-clicking in the header and then clicking
Confirm.
- Receive the no-part order lines by selecting the lines, and right-clicking
on the order lines and then clicking Receipt.
Conclude Work Order
- Open the Report in Work Order window.
- Query for the work order. (F3)
- Enter an actual start and actual finish date for the work.
- Right-click, point to Status and click Finished.
