Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to specify the business objects for import to the integration package.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to familiarize loading an integration package and how to modify values on it.

Windows:
Manage Integration Package.

Redefine root paths

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Highlight the Export Root Path field of the File locations tab.
  3. Click Modify.
  4. Next, in the Browse for File dialog box, you can select from locations and folders already available on the client machine or click Make A New Folder to create a new folder.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Repeat the above mentioned steps from 2-5 for Import Root Path and Log files fields.

Load an integration package

  1. From the Manage Integration Package window click on the Load Current Integration Package link to load the integration package defined on the current job.
  2. Next click on the Load Integration Package link to load another integration package defined on another job.

Revise an integration package

  1. From the Manage Integration Package window, click on the Load Current Integration Package link.
  2. Select the business object, whose values you want to change, on the business object tree.
  3. Select the Replace link to retrieve the Replace dialog box.
  4. Enter any character or characters belonging to the value you want to change, in the Find what field, and click Find. Simply clicking Find prior to entering values in the Find what field retrieves all business object values related to the particular business object irrespective of characters. 
  5. Enter the character or characters of the value you want to change the results of the Find search with, in the Replace with field.
  6. Select the row/rows of the objects displayed in the Find search that you want to replace the value with and click Replace or Replace All accordingly.
  7. If you wish to convert all Upper Case characters to Lower Case Characters, click To Lower. Similarly if you wish to convert all Lower Case characters to Upper Case characters, click To Upper.
  8. Close the Replace dialog box, and click on the Save Changes link.

  1. On the Manage Integration Package window, click on the Load Current Integration Package link.
  2. Select the business object, whose values you want to change, on the business object tree.
  3. Double click on the field of the value to be modified and enter the desired value.
  4. Click Save Changes.
