Connect Work Order to Sub Contract

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a work order to the sub contract. A sub contract can be used to issue Work Instructions and at the same time to be connected to a Work Order, on the understanding that the two will not perform the same function. A work order can be connected to the sub contract and issued to the supplier so that the supplier can start working on the contract.

Note: Only one sub contract can be connected to a work order, but more than one work order can be connected to a sub contract. Furthermore, a work order can only be connected to the active contract revision.

A work order that is connected to a sub contract can be connected to the contract line items, if necessary. To finish the connected work order, work that is to be done for the sub contract or for selected contract items must be completed first and have 100% progress.

Prerequisites

The sub contract must be in one of the following statuses: Awarded, Under Review, Active or Completed.
