The explosion logic explodes the complete bill of materials (BOM), however if components have sufficient on-hand and open supply to cover demand then the netting explosion is stopped. Unaffected components are removed.
By selecting Show All Levels the user can see the complete BOM.
The Order Availability Check filters the shop orders based on the Status which can be Planned, Released, Reserved or Started. Shop orders that are in the Closed status will not be displayed.
The Material Allocation field on the Project group box indicates if the netting should occur per project or per activity. This value is used by the simulation process.
If the Include Open Supplies check box is selected, open supplies will be considered when simulating. If it is not selected, open supplies will be displayed but will not be considered as supplies.
In the middle portion of the screen, the availability details of the exploded BOM is displayed.
In the lower portion of the screen, the simulated and actual demand/supply details are displayed.
