Connect Maintenance Program to Serial

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a maintenance program to a serial. If a valid active maintenance program is defined for the part number and revision of the serial, you need to connect the maintenance program to the serial before you can set the serial to either the In Operation or Out Of Operation status for the first time.

If access control is established for parts and serials, you can only work with the serials to which you are granted access. Likewise, if access control is established for maintenance programs, you can only view and connect the maintenance programs to which you have access. Access control is established by setting up access groups with valid users and assigning the applicable access group to the part or maintenance program to which access should be restricted.

  4. If you want to change the maintenance group of the serial, click List in the New Maint Group field to select and enter the new maintenance group for the serial.
  5. Select the Change maintenance program for all serials in structure check box if you want to update all serials in the structure with the new maintenance program.
  6. Select the Change maintenance group for all serials in the structure check box if you want to update all serials in the structure with the new maintenance group.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Serials in structure lacking maintenance programs assistant step you can enter maintenance program information for the serials in the selected structure.

This is useful for instance when the intervals for the maintenance code on the old maintenance plan are different to the intervals on the new maintenance plan and it is necessary to adjust the interval maintenance values accordingly. The upper table displays the interval maintenance for the primary operational parameters while the lower table displays all secondary operational parameters corresponding to the primary operational parameters.
  6. In the Value at Maintenance field, enter or change the total operational value for the part and serial number for which you want to change interval maintenance values. Note: The following conditions apply:
  1. In the Value Total field, enter the total operational value of the serial at the date of maintenance.
