Connect Post Maintenance Check Definition to a Fault

Explanation

This activity is used to connect a post maintenance check definition to a fault/non-routine fault. The purpose of a post maintenance check is to perform inspections after the fault is repaired so as to ensure that no consequences are introduced.

When the fault is repaired and the task signed off, post maintenance checks will be generated based on the intervals (operational or calendar) given on the definition. Each post maintenance check is created as a pending task when the planned task date of the check is within the given number of days forewarning. Only one check per fault can be pending or running at a particular time.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a post maintenance check definition valid for the part revision on the fault must have been created. This definition must be in the Active status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, post maintenance checks will be generated automatically once the fault is signed off.
