Dispatch Solution
Explanation
Use this activity to dispatch a global solution to a support organization, and
to a suitable assignee or queue within that organization.
Prerequisites
A global solution must have been entered, and should be in
the New or Open status.
System Effects
- The solution will be dispatched to a queue or
assignee within a particular support organization.
- The status of the global
solution will be changed to Queued.

Procedure
- Open the
Global Solution window
- Query for the relevant record (F3).
- Right-click and then click Dispatch. The
Dispatch
Solution dialog box opens.
- Enter a value in the Organization field.
Click List to select
a value.
- Enter a value in either the Queue field
or the Assignee field. Click List to select a value.
- Optionally, you can enter the following:
- A value in the Work Folder field. Click List
to select a value.
- A value in the Category field. By default,
the value entered in the
Global Solution window will be
used.
- Additional information in the Comments/Requests
field.
- Click OK
