Filter Users per Plant

Explanation

This activity is used to filter users for whom a particular plant will be visible. When a new plant has been created all registered users will be given visibility access to it.  

Prerequisites

A plant must be established in the Plant window.

System Effects

A selected plant will be shown to or hidden from selected users, depending on the filter criteria specified here. As a result, the users will be able or not be able to navigate the selected plant.

Procedure

Using the Plant window:

1. Open the Plant window.
2. Search for the plant for which you want to filter users.
3. Select the users for whom you want to show or hide the plant, right-click and click Show Plant for the Selected Users or Hide Plant for the Selected Users respectively.

Using the Plants window:

1. Open the Plants window.
2. Search for the plant for which you want to filter users.
3. Right-click and click Plant Visibility per User.
4. In the Plants Per User window, select or unselect the check boxes for Plant against the users for whom you want to show or hide the plant respectively. 
5. Click Save.

Using the Explore Standards/Plants node:

1. Expand the Explore Standards folder.
2. Expand the standard of the plant for which you want to filter users.
3. Right-click on the plant folder and click Show Plant or Hide Plant, as required.
