Define User Default Plant

Explanation

This activity is used to define the default plant for the current user. This eases the task of having to enter the plant each time a user enters information about objects related to the plant. 

Prerequisites

A plant must be created and the current user must have access to it.

Procedure

Using the User Settings dialog box

1. Open the User Settings dialog box.
2. In the Default Plant field, enter the required plant name. Click List to select a suitable value.
3. Click OK.

Using the Plant window:

1. Open the Plant window.
2. Search for the plant you want to make your default plant.
3. Select your plant, right-click and click Make Default Plant.

Using the Explore Standards/Plants node:

1. Expand the Explore Standards folder.
2. Expand the standard of the plant that you require to be your default plant.
3. Right-click on the plant folder and click Make Default Plant.
