Define Item Categories

Explanation

This activity is used to create item categories. The category will show to which category a punch item belongs. Examples of item categories are: Preventing Further Work, Cosmetic, Safety Critical, and Functional.

Procedure

1. Open the Punch List Basic Data window.
2. Click the Item Categories tab.
3. Click  New.
4. In the Category ID field, enter an identity for an item category.
5. In the Description field, enter a description of the item category.
6. Click Save.  
7. Repeat to define item categories.

Note: The Obsolete check box can be selected for an item category which is no longer used and cannot be used on new punch lists.
