Use this step of the assistant to view information on the serial for which modification compliance values are to be entered.
When this assistant is opened by right-clicking and then clicking Enter Modification Compliance or Enter Obsolete Modification Compliance, information in the Modification area appears by default. If the assistant is opened from the Assigned Serials sub tab, serial information appears automatically in the Assigned area. If the assistant is opened from the Affected sub tab, the serial information appears automatically in the Affected area. If the modification is responsible for a change to the part number and/or part revision of the serial, the new part number and/or revision appears automatically in either the Assigned or Affected area.
When this assistant is opened by right-clicking and then clicking Enter Performed Rename Modifications, you need to enter the modification revision that led to a change of the part number and/or revision of the serial. This is required in order to continue with the procedure for registering a serial rename in the system.
