Enter Work Description

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a description for the service request if you do not enter any standard job ID. By double-clicking, you can open a text editor and enter any information about the work.

Prerequisites

Before the description is entered,  the following must have been completed:

• The current service request must be retrieved in the window.

System Effects

• The description will be useful when the work is performed.
• If the service request is created with the VIM connection type, a corresponding maintenance task will be created in IFS/Vehicle Information Management. The work description will be transferred to the Task Remark field of the task record on the maintenance order.

1. In the Work Description field, enter a description of the work to be done.
2. Save the information.
