Enter Item Class

Explanation

This activity is used to enter an item class for a work order quotation. The work order quotation can inherit an item class from the equipment object, part or object type, or an item class can be manually entered or edited on a work order if necessary.

Prerequisites

• A work order quotation must exist and an object must have been entered for it.
• The item class must have been defined in the Maintenance Basic Data or Failure Analysis Setup Navigator window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, item class information is updated on the work order quotation.

Procedure

1. Open the Prepare Work Order Quotation window.
2. Query for the work order quotation.
3. Click the Prepare tab. 
4. Enter a value in the Item Class field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
5. Save the record.
