Create Discovery Code

Explanation

Use this activity to create a discovery code. The discovery code is used when entering a fault report to describe how the fault was discovered. This is helpful later when a Work Order is prepared, and in troubleshooting and repairs.

Prerequisites

Before information on a discovery code is entered, the following must have been completed:

• The user must be connected to a site. This must have been performed in Sites per User.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the discovery code can be used when fault reports are entered.

Procedure

1. Select the Discoveries tab.
2. Use the New function.
3. In the Discovery field, enter a code for the discovery.
4. In the Description field, enter a short description of the discovery.
5. Save the information.
