Search for Combined Resources
Explanation
Use this activity to perform a Combined Free Time
Search. This type of search is done by combining different resource types or several
resources of the same
resource type.
Prerequisites
- Sites should be defined in IFS/General Data for
Inventory and Distribution.
- Maintenance organizations, employees, and crafts
should be defined in IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance,
Organization Basic Data.
- Tool-and-facility types and tools-and-facilities should be defined and
connected to the sites in
Tools and Facilities Basic Data.
- Competencies and licenses should be defined in IFS
Human Resources, if you want to include them in the search.
System Effects
- The available resources
will be displayed on the
Free Time Search/Results
tab.
- It is now possible to create a new work order or to add the details to an
existing work order.

Procedure
- Open the
Free Time Search window.
- Enter the site at which the resource is located, in the
Site field. Use the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- Enter the time period during which the resource is
required and the number of hours for which the resource is required, in the Earliest
Date/Time, Latest Date/Time, and Execution Time fields
respectively.
- Select the Exclude Schedule check box if the
resource is considered to be available twenty-four hours a day.
- Select a resource type in the Resource Type
field.
- The rest of the information can be entered in one of
the following ways:
- Enter the details as in the Simple Free Time Search.
Enter a number in the Sequence field. The values entered should
follow a sequence. Click Add Row. Change the values on the
Search
Parameters tab
as necessary. Repeat the steps as often as necessary
making sure the rows are in the correct sequence.
- Alternatively, you can click Add Row to create a new record
on
the
Search Parameters tab.
Enter the sequence, site,
maintenance organization, execution time, resource ID (employee ID or tool
and facility ID), parent craft, and craft ID and
define additional qualifications (for the Employee resource type)
and tool-and-facility type (for the Tool and Facility resource type). Repeat the steps as often as necessary making
sure the rows are in the correct sequence.
- Save the information (F12).
- Click Search.
