Finish an Operation

Explanation

This activity is used to finish an operation or subtask from IFS/Vehicle Information Management (IFS/VIM). When an operation or subtask is finished it indicates that the work has been accomplished.

If sign off requirements do not exist on the operation or subtask, the Executor can directly change the status of the operation or subtask from Started or Released to Finished.

If sign off requirements exist on the operation, all required sign offs must have been performed before the operation can be finished. When performing a sign off, and license requirements are defined, the system will check whether the current user fulfills requirements for performing the required sign off(s). If so, the operation will be signed off and the status of the operation will be changed to Finished.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, all required sign offs on the operation must have have been completed.
