Disconnect Route Work Order from Project Activity

Explanation

This activity is used to disconnect a route work order from a project activity. A route work order can be disconnected only if it does not contain any cost transactions, such as material, tools and facilities, operations, and so on.

Prerequisites

• IFS/Project must have been installed along with IFS/Work Order.
• A route work order must have been manually connected to a project activity. 

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the route work order will be disconnected from the project activity, and it will not appear as a connection on the Project Navigator/Connections tab in IFS/Project.

Procedure

1. Open the Report In Route window.
2. Query for the connected route work order (F3).
3. Right-click anywhere on the window, point to Project Connections, and click Disconnect from Activity. If the work order is successfully disconnected from the project activity, the Project Connected check box on the General tab will be cleared.
