Create Fault Type

Explanation

Use this activity to create a fault type that can be used when reporting in work orders. You can follow up faults and costs by fault type, which makes it possible to run technical and financial analyses of the costs.

Prerequisites

Before information on a fault type is entered, the following must have been completed:

• The user must be connected to a site. This must have been performed in the Sites per User window.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the fault type can be used when reporting in a work order is performed.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a fault type:

1. Select the Fault Types tab.
2. Use the New function.
3. In the Fault Type field, enter a code for the type.
4. In the Description field, enter a description of the type.
5. Save the information.
