Create Fault Class

Explanation

Use this activity to create a fault class that can be used when reporting in work orders. You can follow up errors and costs by fault class, which makes it possible to run technical and financial analyses of the costs. One way to classify the faults are to divide them in classes, such as mechanical, electrical, and so on.

Prerequisites

Before information on a fault class is entered, the following must have been completed:

• The user must be connected to a site. This must have been performed in Sites per User.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the fault class code can be used when a work order is concluded.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a fault class:

1. Select the Classes tab.
2. Use the New function.
3. In the Class field, enter an identity for the fault class.
4. In the Description field, enter a description of the class.
5. Save the information.
