Connect Work Order

Explanation

Use this activity to connect one or several existing work order to a parent work order.

Prerequisites

Before the work order is connected to the parent work order, the following must have been completed:

• The parent work order must be displayed in Structure for Work Order.
• The work order/orders to be connected, must have been created and prepared.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a work order structure is created. All work orders connected to a parent work order have to be completed before the parent work order status is changed to 'Finished'.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to connect a work order to a parent work order:

1. In Prepare Work Order, find the parent work order, and use the Structure operation. 
2. In Structure for Work Order, use the New function in the lower part of the window.
3. In the WO No. field, use List of Values to select the work order that is to be connected.
4. Save the information.
