Clock In to an Operation

Explanation

This activity is used to clock in to one or more operations on a work order. When the Clock In/Clock Out feature is used, time reporting on an operation is done automatically.

It is possible to clock in and clock out of an operation several times a day provided that the operation is not in the Work Done status. When you clock out, the total hours you spent on the operation for that day will be calculated and transferred to the work order as a time report line. Note that if multiple employees are clocked into the same operation, their reported time per day will be calculated and transferred separately for each employee.

When you clock into an operation for the first time, the status of the operation will be set to Started. Furthermore, if this is the first operation that is set to Started, the belonging work order will also be set to the Started status.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, the employee must be assigned to the operations.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, you are able to report time by clocking in to the operation. The date and time you clocked in will be logged.
