Business-to-Business (B2B) Contracting

The Business-to-Business (B2B) Contracting process makes it possible for external contractors to tender on work orders prepared within an organization.

Initially, a work order request is created and a purchase requisition is added to it with a list of approved contractors to be invited for tender on the work order. When releasing the requisition, order quotations (one per contractor) are created. Selected contractors are allowed to tender for the work order through the B2B interface. Contractors can read documents connected to the work order and also add documents to the order quotation if necessary. After the tenders are submitted (quotations answered), one of the order quotations is approved and a purchase order is created automatically. After releasing the purchase order it can be confirmed by the contractor using the B2B interface. Employee and time information related to the work done can be reported by the contractor on the work order, once the work order has been released. The contractor can add new documents and create new revisions of documents connected to the work order. After the contractor has set the work order to Work Done status, the work done by the contractor is approved and the work order is finished.

In addition to the work order tender flow, it is possible to assign a B2B contractor directly to a work order or route work order by entering the contractor value on the work order and releasing the work order.

Note: The process for scheduling work orders with the Mobile Workforce Management is not supported within the B2B Contracting process. This means that if a work order exists in either the Assigned, Accepted or On Route status, it will not be possible to assign a contractor to the work order and vice versa.
