Use this tab to define workshops. Maintenance is carried out at workshops, and the forecast for workload on personnel and material is calculated per workshop. You can register, view, modify and delete workshops in this tab.
The workshops which are defined in IFS/Vehicle Information Management (IFS/VIM) are created automatically as maintenance organizations in IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance. Changes to the description of the workshop will be transferred automatically to the maintenance organization. Due to shorter maintenance organization codes, the workshop code in IFS/VIM is limited to 8 characters when IFS/Basic Data for Maintenance is installed, and it is not be possible to update the inventory location for the workshop.
